Why make a guide?

While working on the prerequisite courses for the Physician Assistant program it became very evident that many people, including other students working on the same prerequisites, did not have a clear understanding of what a PA is or their role in healthcare. Most sources online were either too vague or too technical and cumbersome to understand.

We strongly believe in the PA profession and that it is the key to improving efficiency and success in healthcare today. It will help deliver healthcare to a larger body of people in need, including the medically underserved. We also believe in patient education. An educated patient is both well informed and well equipped to help themselves stay healthy. Understanding the role of the Physician Assistant will help build the much needed trust between patient and healthcare provider that allows for optimal care.
